This book was recommended to me by a student, and I LOVED it. Maggie’s outrageous behavior is hysterical, and the more she tries to be unpopular, the funnier the book gets. The writing gets a bit too cliched toward the end of the book, in my opinion, but not enough to sway my overall opinion. Maggie is flawed, no question, but the lessons that she learns about being true to herself far outweigh any mistakes she makes along the way.
Highly recommended for gr. 9-12.
