This is the 6th book in the Maximum Ride series. A bird kid called Max is destined to save the world. Her lover, Fang, is getting in the way of the plan because she loves him too much. James Patterson’s novel is a twisted, action-packed love story. Max is about 17 and is not a girly-girl. In fact, she has only worn a dress once. Max finds out that she gets along with Fang so well because he was genetically made to be her perfect half, but then she meets her other perfect half. Fang despises him because he is pressuring him into leaving Max for her own safety. Angel, another bird kid, is in love with Fang and rebels against Max (she’s the bird kid leader) because she knows that Max has Fang’s heart. All of this is going on while they are saving the world from a crazy scientist who experiments on little desperate kids. He pursues this in order to find out how to make himself invincible so he doesn’t die when he destroys the world. Fang goes through many trials but is true to himself.
James Patterson really goes into depth by discussing what love is all about and how complicated it can become. I really loved how it wasn’t all about romance but had an equal share of a little bit of everything in it. I would recommend you to read this book in your spare time.
