I was completely lost until I realized that this book is a companion to Shattered Mirror. The author assumes prior knowledge of events that take place in that story, and so this book definitely does not stand on its own. I started to enjoy All Just Glass once I realized that the holes in the plot weren’t due to the author’s negligence, but to mine for not having read Shattered Mirror first. Adia and Sarah are both strong characters, each struggling with the concept of family loyalty versus family love. The story is told through alternating points of view, allowing readers to have a more complete view of each of the characters and the issues that they are dealing with.
