Griffen Bing is a sixth grade boy who found a rare Babe Ruth card in a condemned building. He goes to trade in the Babe Ruth card for some money, but S. Wendell Palomino swindles him and gives him $120 for the card that was worth one million dollars. Griffen plans to get it back by stealing it from S. Wendell’s store, but when he and his friends get in, they find Swindle took it home with him. Griffen then gets a whole team of people to help him steal the card from Swindle’s house. Once they get into his house, they look all over the place but can’t find the card anywhere! They eventually find it in a place you’d never expect! He takes the card and goes home. The book ends with Griffen going home and not having to move away.
My favorite part was when they were stealing the card from S. Wendell Palomino’s house because it was exciting. I would recommend this book to people who are interested in heists!
