Griffin Bing and his friend Ben are dared to spend the night in the old Rockford house, right before it is torn down. In the night, Griffin finds a Babe Ruth baseball card. Later in the daytime he tries to sell it at S.Wendell Palomino’s Pawn shop. It gets sold for 100 dollars but is worth over 1000 dollars. So when Griffin finds out how much it’s really worth he tries to get it back. He grabs Ben and a couple other friends to help get it back. They soon get arrested for breaking and entering and grand theft. So Griffin sends it to a relative of Mr. Rockford but she gives it to Griffin’s enemy. In the end everything turns out all right.
My favorite part was when they found the card in a 20 pound turkey’s butt. I thought that was kind of silly. I would recommend this book to people who like action or suspense.
