This book is about a girl named Melody; she can’t walk, talk, or even go to the bathroom by herself. Her mind, however, functions perfectly well and she remembers anything she hears for life. So… she is really smart. Yet, no one knows about it except for her mom, dad, and Mrs.V. When Melody goes online to get something to help her talk so she can have an input in her math team’s conversations, she finds it!!! A computer that can talk for her!! But when her math team goes to Washington D.C. she is left behind. To find out what she does, read the book in our school library.
My favorite part was when Melody’s mother goes to the place to find out how smart her daughter is, she gets into an argument with the doctor. I recommend this book to people who like realistic fiction.
